Get to Know Your 2010-2012 Supreme Governing Council!

Sisters, get to know your 2010-2012 Supreme Governing Council, elected at Convention 2010 in Orlando, Florida!


Letitia Niemeier Fulkerson is Chi Omega Fraternity's National President (S.H.) and has served in this role since 2008. Letitia is an initiate of the Zeta Alpha Chapter of Chi Omega at The Ohio State University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in Computer and Information Science. Letitia has a long history of service to Chi Omega at the local and national levels, including:
  • Serving as a chapter advisor to Pi Alpha Chapter at the University of Cincinnati; 
  • Participating as a member of several alumnae chapters;
  • Serving as a leader for Firesides, Chi Omega's leadership workshop;
  • Representing  Chi Omega as a member of Chi Omega's National Panhellenic Conference Delegation; and,
  • Serving one term on the Governing Council as National Treasurer (S.N.V.). 
She is a supporter of the Chi Omega Foundation and a member of The 1895 Society. Professionally, Letitia owns her own State Farm Insurance business. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband Mike.


Joellyn Forrester Sullivan is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Vice President (S.T.B.) and has served in this role since 2010. Joellyn was initiated into Kappa Beta Chapter of Chi Omega at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated with a B.S. in biology. She also holds a B.S. in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi. Joellyn has a long history of service to Chi Omega at the local and national levels, including.
  • Serving as a chapter advisor to Kappa Beta Chapter;
  • Speaking at Chi Omega national meetings; and,
  • Serving on the Governing Council, including two terms as National Secretary (S.K.A.), one term as National Treasurer (S.N.V.), and two prior terms as S.T.B. 
Joellyn is a supporter of the Chi Omega Foundation and is a member of The 1895 Society. She is a physical therapist by training and also manages Silky O'Sullivan's, the family restaurant. She lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband Tom.


Jane McWilliams Tankersley is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Secretary (S.K.A.) and has served in this role since 2010. Jane is an initiate of Epsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated with a degree in music with a minor in clothing and textiles and fashion merchandising. Jane has a long history of service to Chi Omega at the local and national levels, including:
  • Serving on several collegiate chapter advisory boards; 
  • Participating as a member of Chi Omega's National Recruitment Team; 
  • Volunteering as Convention Director in 2006 and 2008; and,
  • Serving one term as National Ritual Officer (S.M.). 
Jane is a supporter of the Chi Omega Foundation and is a member of The 1895 Society. She has worked in the retail merchandising industry and also as a professional flutist. She lives in Stuart, Florida with her husband Jerry; they have one adult son.


Laura Shrode Miller is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Treasurer (S.N.V.) and has served in this role since 2010. Laura is an initiate of Rho Epsilon Chapter of Chi Omega at Texas Christian University, where she graduated with a degree in marketing. Laura has a long history of service to Chi Omega at the local and national levels, including:
  • Volunteering as a chapter advisor to Rho Epsilon Chapter since 1980; 
  • Being a founding member and chair of the National Recruitment Team; and,
  • Speaking at Chi Omega Firesides and Conventions. 
She is a supporter of the Chi Omega Foundation and a member of The 1895 Society. Professionally, Laura is Market President for Liberty Bank in Fort Worth, Texas. She lives in Fort Worth with her husband Tod; they have two adult sons and one daughter-in-law.


Kate Chipley Scattergood is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Ritual Officer (S.M.) and has served in this role since 2010. Kate is an initiate of Alpha Kappa Chapter of Chi Omega at North Carolina State University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. She also holds an MAEd in Student Personnel Services and Counseling from Virginia Tech. Kate has a long history of service to Chi Omega at the local and national levels, including:
  • Volunteering as a chapter advisor to Alpha Kappa Chapter; 
  • Serving as a leader for Firesides, Chi Omega's leadership workshop; 
  • Serving as a member of the Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute Committee; and,
  • Representing Chi Omega as a member of Chi Omega's National Panhellenic Conference Delegation. 
She is a supporter of the Chi Omega Foundation and a member of The 1895 Society. Professionally, Kate teaches preschool at her church, St. Paul's Episcopal. She lives in Cary, North Carolina with her husband and three children.
