Hoot, hoot! Owl Tree Update: Thursday, July 12

Owl Tree Chair Leanne Hamilton Ralston on the very first day of The Owl Tree Challenge at Convention!  There is still space on branches for LOTS of leaves, Sisters! Hoot, hoot!
Sisters, The Owl Tree is off to a great start! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! If you haven't had a chance to honor someone with your donation to The Chi Omega Foundation yet, be sure to make time to stop by The Owl Tree and give a $5 gift or more in honor of someone you love.

By giving to The Owl Tree, you are helping The Chi Omega Foundation meet the challenge set by Erin Chambers Packwood, an alumna of Psi Zeta Chapter at the University of Houston. For every person who gives at least a $5 donation to The Owl Tree, Erin will give $37, up to a $25,000 donation. This means we need 675 Owl Tree donors to meet the challenge!

As of Thursday, July 12 at 1:45 p.m. PST, The Owl Tree has had 102 donors!

Here's a little bit more information about Erin.
Erin Chambers Packwood credits many achievements to the Chi Omega alumnae who mentored her as a collegian at Psi Zeta/U of Houston. Equipped with her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior and Management, and guided by professional experience ranging from human resources to management consulting, Erin is now the director of employee engagement at Transocean — the world’s largest offshore drilling contractor.

Erin’s involvement with Chi Omega has continued with her service as president of the Houston Alumnae. She currently acts as recruitment advisor to Psi Zeta, as well as vice president of Kaleidoscope, the Houston Alumnae’s biennial fundraising luncheon in October. Erin and husband Mark are active in their community and stay busy raising their two daughters.

Erin reminisces: ‘It gives me pleasure to reflect on the growth I experienced through Chi Omega in college. Whether it was improving my communication skills or refining etiquette, I cherish the life lessons Chi Omega taught me. I recognized then the impact of membership in driving organizational value —a realization that has guided me professionally. Each year as a chapter advisor I see the transformation of our collegiate members’ personal skills, which I know will provide lifelong impact. Through support of the Chi Omega Foundation, we are investing in tomorrow’s leaders today.’”

Thank you to Erin for sponsoring The Owl Tree challenge and to our Sisters who have given to The Owl Tree!
